# ScanSync > ScanSync is event check-in software for event organizers and their door teams: import your attendee list from a CSV, scan QR codes and barcodes at the entrance from a web browser or the iPhone app (in beta), and watch arrivals on a live dashboard. It's free for one event with up to 100 attendees. ScanSync is a web app at https://scansync.io/ operated by Siavash Inc., doing business as ScanSync. This file summarizes what it does for AI assistants; every page linked below is plain server-rendered HTML. ## Who it's for - Event organizers who need to check people in at the door: conferences, galas and fundraisers, school and campus events, corporate events, and multi-day events. - Their teams: owners run billing, staff, and events; managers import attendees and watch the live dashboard; scanners only scan tickets and look people up by name, and never see attendee contact details. - Developers who want to connect check-in to other systems through a REST API and signed webhooks. ## How it works 1. Create an account and an event. 2. Import your attendee list from a CSV. Columns are matched automatically (name, email, phone, ticket or barcode code, and custom fields such as ticket type or table). Anyone without a code gets a QR code generated, and re-uploading a file updates people with the same code instead of duplicating them. 3. Invite staff as owners, managers, or scanners, with access to all events or chosen ones. 4. Scan tickets at the entrance: from a web browser (device camera where supported, or a USB/Bluetooth barcode scanner) or the iPhone app (in beta; Android is coming soon). Each scan shows a clear result, and repeat scans are flagged as already checked in. The iPhone app keeps working offline and syncs queued check-ins later without counting anyone twice. 5. Watch arrivals on a live dashboard (checked in, still to come, percent arrived, check-ins per 15 minutes, recent check-ins with undo), then export attendance as a CSV. ## What's offered - Codes it reads: QR, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, PDF417, Aztec, Data Matrix, ITF-14, and Codabar. - Check-in limits per event or per person, for re-entry and multi-day passes. - Custom fields you can rename, reorder, search, and filter by. - REST API with API keys, and webhooks signed with HMAC-SHA256 (attendee.checked_in, check_in.voided, attendee.created, attendee.updated, import.completed). - Plans (prices in USD; every plan includes every feature): - Free: $0/month. 1 active event, 100 attendees per event, 2 staff seats. - Pro: $49/month. 10 active events, 5,000 attendees per event, 15 staff seats. - Business: $199/month.
